It’s official: West Wittering has been named by The Sunday Times to be one of the top 50 British Beaches. We sat down with nice cup of coffee and read the whole article and were very pleased that 2XS had a mention!

West Wittering, West Sussex

The privately owned West Wittering beach is West Sussex’s ocean playground: a mile and a half of flat sand, backed by marram-spiked dunes and, at the west end, the tidal pools of Snowhill Creek. Come on a sunny Sunday and you’ll find it a festival of Frisbees, beach cricket, kites and castles, with the sea full of sails. The car parking is pricey, but in return you get a beach cafe, toilets, showers and clean sand. The watersports are run by an on-site school, 2XS: kitesurfing lessons start at £115pp, group surf classes at £37pp. There’s also windsurfing, from £48pp, and paddleboarding, from £42pp (2xs.co.uk).  The Sunday Times Travel Section
