The 2XS Advanced Rippers Freestyle Wave Camp have been one of our long term projects to develop a full pathway with our 2XS kids program.  Resident coach, Sam Jones, will be leading the 2 day, action packed Camp – taking your Ripper to the next level in freestyle and wave competition.

Sam went through the Olympic pathway for windsurfing in his teens, transitioning to slalom.  Sam now focuses on wavesailing, and spent several months  in 2023 working at the Goya/Quatro/KT HQ on Maui and sailing at the best spots on the island.

Sam has also worked in Portugal teaching kiting and surfing and in Vassiliki working for Neilson.  He is an advanced instructor and has taught many of the 2XS Rippers crew from an early age.  The Advanced Rippers course will include everything from advanced freestyle and wave sailing, fitness, competition preparation, video analysis, competition heats, SUP wave and water safety knowledge.

You need to bring all your own sails, wetsuits, warm jackets, beanie, running shoes and shorts, food snacks and a towel – we provide any extra sups or light wind gear – if you don’t have any windsurf kit you can hire it at a 50 % off our usual prices. Ideally you need to be planing in footstraps , water starting and ready to get out in high tide .
