The new 2XS Wing Flight bag – built with new technology material manufactured by PAUA® . This new fabric Paua® Pro has a feel more like a hard case than a soft foam traditional board bag.  It takes way more impact, can with stand abrasion than standard foam, it is fully patented  and it is sustainable and a fully recyclable product .

The technical issue with a more rigid foam construction board bag is its foldability to store it under the bed or in a cupboard when not in use.  The Paua® team have created foldable side panels and YKK zips which attachs to the base and top panel so you can fold your bag up once you have arrived at your destination.

We sent our original wingfoil travel bag designs to Paua® in 2021 who have built us many board bag prototypes – we have worked through different sizes and dimensions; changed  zip supplier’s; tested new wheels and different methods of fixing  and with reinforced handles and after nearly 100,000 miles of flight travel not had one board broken or even dented!

We are very happy with the new 2XS -Wing Flight Bag  production version – the new  Paua Pro® material and the specialist factory that we are working with understands how to manufacture bags in this new unique fabric.

Paua® is the newest technical fabric in hard case style board bags  – it is used for military bags, surfboard bags (Kelly Slater has one!), the phamarcutical industry, optics, bike bags, medical equipment bags, musical cases and logistics.

The bag is 5ft 10 inches long ( just under 180cm)  and will take one board, 3 wings, foils and pump – we packed ours so it sat under the 32 kg mark and its dimensions fit under most current airline sports bag rules which are max length 190cm – so taking your wingfoiling kit on transatlantic flights is super easy.

When you pack your 2XS Wing Flight bag – its is advisable to weigh the items first.  Before you leave make sure your bag and gear is dry as water absorbsion will add unnecesary weight.

The wingfoiling board (footstraps off) needs to go in first and you have tie down straps to help secure the board and central divider to the base panel of the bag. Some boards have air vent screws so at this point loosen or remove your air vent screw!

On top of the central divider you can attach you mast, wings and fuse with the tie down straps the pump will sit towards the nose, your wetsuits, rash vests can sit under the pump.  The wings will then sit neatly ontop of this before securing the top panel of the bag.

Wheeling through the airport with the rollerblade style wheels is easy – once you head into the oversized baggage section remove the velcro wheel plate and place these in the bag before baggage handlers and the travelator can damage them.
