2XS Demo Weekend at West Wittering Beach – 28th/29th September 2024

Join us for an exciting demo weekend at West Wittering Beach on the 28th and 29th of September 2024. We’ll be showcasing the latest 24/25 season windsurf boards, sails, wing boards, wings, foils, downwinders, and mid-lengths from Goya, Quatro, KT, Duotone, Axis, and Ozone. There will also be Fanatic and Quatro SUPs available for testing. Plus, don’t miss out on our pump foiling sessions, which will be running throughout the weekend.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be hosting free clinics with industry legends, including:

– Peter Hart – Windsurfing coach extraordinaire
– Nik Baker – Ex-pro PWA superstar and wingfoil expert
– Andy “Bubble” Chambers – Freestyle and wave guru
– Mark Shinn – Ex-world kite champion and Axis ambassador
– Freddie Oldfield – Axis/Ozone representative and foiling podcast host. Freddie Oldfield will run the pump foiling sessions.

Schedule:

Saturday, 28th September

– High Tide: 10:05 AM | Low Tide: 3:00 PM
– 11:30 AM: Nik Baker – Windsurfing Wave Sailing: Board rig and fin choices, boom positions, strap setup, bottom turn and top tips using right part of wave (use of rig through turns head position)
– 12:30 PM: Andy Chambers – Winging: Mid-length downwinders, freeride, freestyle board choices, and KT foils.
– 1:30 PM: Mark Shinn – Down winding: Gear setup, board sizes, flat water paddle-up techniques.
– 2:00 PM: Freddie Oldfield – Pump Foil Clinic (on water).

Sunday, 29th September

– High Tide: 10:57 AM | Low Tide: 4:00 PM
– 11:30 AM: Peter Hart
– 12:30 PM: Nik Baker – Winging: Duotone foil setups, foil box positions, using straps, front wing sizes for different conditions, tail wing options, and wave riding tips.
– 1:30 PM: Andy Chambers – Setting up quads and thrusters, wave riding tips, and optimising Goya wave sails.
– 2:15 PM: Mark Shinn – Downwinding: Ideal conditions, Axis gear tuning, swell riding, and reading the water.
– 3:00 PM: Freddie Oldfield – Pump Foil Clinic (on water).

Additional Information:

– Saturday: Free BBQ breakfast at 10:30 AM on the beach.
– Saturday Evening: Join us for drinks and food at The Wittering Pub. *they also have accommodation available

2XS will host the demo weekend and provide safety cover. Anyone registered for the event will have free access to club facilities over the weekend.
